Yoga Retreats with Margherita Dal Pra

We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us

That’s how I feel about retreat. It’s not about running away, it’s about creating space to remember what matters. To be in your body, in your breath, in rhythm with the land and the season. A place where time stretches, the nervous system softens, and you begin to hear yourself again.

I create these retreats as spaces of presence, beauty, and deep restoration, where we move with intention, eat with reverence, and rest without guilt. Where you can show up exactly as you are, and be met with warmth, quiet, and community.

Why join?

  • • A Sacred Pause •

These retreats go beyond asana. Each day we weave together movement, breath, mantra, meditation, and self-inquiry. Practices that meet you where you are and support you on every level: physical, emotional, energetic.

  • • Rooted in Ayurveda •

From the rhythms of the day to the food we share, everything is infused with Ayurvedic wisdom. Seasonal meals, daily routines, and the overall flow of the retreat are designed to bring balance so you leave feeling nourished, steady, and more yourself.

  • • Connection •

These retreats are intentionally intimate, warm, and welcoming. You’ll have time to rest, explore, or do absolutely nothing as well as moments to connect, reflect, and feel held in community.

I offer a collection of annual retreats in locations worldwide that I have returned to for many years, each shaped with care and intention. These spaces weave together movement, rest, wholesome food and the simple joy of being held by a beautiful place. Explore the retreats below to find the one that speaks to you.

Each retreat is unique, some long and immersive, others short and spacious but all are held with deep care, and rooted in the rhythms of Ayurveda.

Nourishing Yoga

Open to all ages and levels of fitness and experience. Every session will have attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), openness to grace (attitude) and intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama). The morning yoga classes will be more upbeat and energizing, and the afternoon classes more relaxed.

All sessions will be adapted to the group and modifications of the poses will be offered to cater for all participants and to ensure that everyone is receiving the benefits of the practice and individual attention.

Nourishment guided by the seasons

Health and nourishment are a gentle thread woven through my retreats. The way we eat, move, rest, and share time together is guided by seasonal wisdom, simplicity, and care. Rather than following strict rules or prescriptive approaches, the emphasis is on food that is wholesome, delicious, and prepared with attention to balance and flavour. Daily rhythms are unhurried and spacious, honouring natural cycles and allowing time to settle, digest, and listen inward. This creates a supportive backdrop for the retreat experience, inviting reconnection, vitality, and a deeper sense of wellbeing.

FAQs

FAQs

  • Not at all. Margherita’s teaching is supportive, inclusive, and adaptable—whether you're new to the practice or have been on the mat for years.

  • Absolutely. Many guests come alone and often leave with lifelong friends. If you'd like to share a room, we’ll do our best to match you with another solo guest, though this can’t be guaranteed.

  • Each retreat is different, but most include daily yoga (morning and evening), accommodation, nourishing meals (often seasonal and Ayurvedic-inspired), all props and mats, herbal teas, and access to shared spaces. Full details are listed on each retreat page

  • Flights, travel insurance, and optional extras like massage or excursions are not usually included. Some retreats offer a group transfer, while others require you to arrange your own travel — this will be clearly stated on the retreat page.

  • No need — mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets are all provided unless otherwise noted.

  • We share fresh, seasonal, mostly vegetarian meals — often influenced by Ayurvedic principles. Food is an important part of the retreat experience, designed to be both nourishing and grounding. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary needs when booking.

  • Each retreat has its own cancellation terms, usually involving a non-refundable deposit and a balance due before the start date. Details can be found on the individual retreat booking page or in your confirmation email.

  • I can’t express fully how lovely this week at the Locanda was for me. To think that just a year ago I turned up at In Sabina without knowing any of you is crazy. I feel so cosmically aligned with this group and this week and the space and the community that you created; I feel truly blessed to have been here and I know this is just the beginning of a new chapter in my yoga and my dharma … inshallah .. you are a wonderful and luminous teacher and friend. Mille grazie.

  • Dear Margherita, I am so happy to have come to another retreat, it has done the world of good for me! I liked the diversity between the days and how you draw on each day to build blocks for the next. You are incredibly patient and loving and it has been instrumental in creating a healing environment. Thank you so much.
