Hi, I’m Margherita and I am here to support you on your journey of self-discovery, through yoga, ayurveda, nutrition and self-development.
I teach weekly yoga classes in London (at The Life Centre Notting Hill, HOME Primrose Hill & my beautiful community in Muswell Hill) and hold retreats in Italy, Greece, India, Morocco and the UK. I also offer one-to-one sessions for those wanting more tailored guidance.
As a natural seeker, over 30 years ago in Italy I found myself at my first yoga class, back in a time when yoga was considered strange, yet savasana and the mantra OM gave me a deep sense of relaxation and the feeling of coming home to myself. This is when yoga became the beginning of a life long journey for me.
I am devoted to continuously learning, sharing and radiating this knowledge for everyone to utilise and enjoy. The more I explore and learn, the more I’m able to share my wisdom in a new and vibrant light, it is a true blessing and honour to share that journey with my students.
A Rich Lineage
My teaching is rooted in the traditional lineage of Hatha Yoga and the rich philosophy of Tantra, with Anusara Yoga at the heart of my approach. Its integration of intelligent alignment, philosophy and a celebration of the heart has deeply shaped the way I practise and teach. Over the years, my work has also been enriched by the energetic depth of ParaYoga, the creativity of Vinyasa Flow and influences from Rasa Yoga.
These traditions give me a rich landscape to draw from, but the practice is always about the person in front of me. I want yoga to help you feel stronger and more at ease in your body, steadier in your mind and more connected to yourself, not only while you are on the mat, but in the way you meet your life.
My classes weave together asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra and philosophy, sometimes alongside chanting, ritual and reflection. The physical practice matters, but it is never the whole story. I am interested in how yoga can help us move through change, build resilience, listen more deeply and create space for what we need.
Ayurveda is another important thread in my teaching. Rather than presenting it as a set of rules to follow, I share its wisdom in simple, practical ways that can become part of everyday life, helping you understand your own rhythms and make choices that support greater vitality and balance.
Over more than 25 years of teaching and study, my approach has been shaped by many teachers and traditions. Anusara has been one of the most enduring influences on my teaching, alongside my years of study within the ParaYoga and Rasa Yoga traditions. These lineages continue to inform my work, while my own teaching continues to evolve through practice, experience and everything I learn from the students I teach.
Based in North London, I teach at The Life Centre Notting Hill, offer private sessions and teach my community classes in Muswell Hill and cover at HOME Wellness Centre Primrose Hill on a regular basis, alongside online classes and retreats in the UK and abroad.
I am an E RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance US, a registered Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK, and a Certified Ayurvedic Health Counsellor.
Alongside my teaching, I offer occasional one-to-one mentoring for yoga teachers who would like support with sequencing, philosophy, confidence, teaching skills and finding their own authentic voice.
